About Penta Transport
History
Penta Transport Ltd. opened in the spring of 1998. Ken Slawson and Gord Putz began Penta Transport Ltd. with a few Lease Operators and taking turns between driving their trucks and working in the office. Soon, the growing business required both Ken and Gord to work in the office as more Lease Operators signed on and the customer base expanded. Penta Transport began leasing trucks that are operated by employee drivers to meet the growing customer base. The company grew out of its Ladysmith location and moved to a larger location just south of Nanaimo in 2003. Today, Penta Transport employs a full Office Staff, Mechanics, Company Drivers and Lease Operators who work together as a team to provide customers with first-rate service.
